Michael Berger is principal at mbdx creative and builds upon his 25 years experience in the design industry to provide clients with award winning creative.
Michael Berger, MFA, directs the Graphic Design and Digital Media Program at California Baptist University as a tenured professor where he wrote both the design and photography programs course content from scratch including concentrations in design, photography, video/animation, web design and mobile design. His traditional design education (BFA in design, ’89, MFA in design, ‘13) and the ability to adapt to evolving technologies within new avenues of communication have laid the foundation from which he can instruct and inspire young designers. He has built and managed a team of faculty hand-picked for their specific skill sets within the context of the program and hired adjuncts to fill specialized needs of the program.
The culture of the program has changed and the size of the program full time majors has nearly quadrupled under Michael’s leadership.
He is also concurrently working as Design Director at Harvest while directing the program. He manages the Harvest design staff and is responsible for the brand continuity which includes print, web and video media.
